Early Childhood Education Center Custodian Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and sanitized environment for our Early Childhood Education Center. This full-time position (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm) offers an hourly wage of $15.00.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Screening:
Ability to pass a drug screening and background checks.
Age:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to meet daily and weekly cleaning schedules. Effective communication with the Facility Administration regarding custodial needs. Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks. Initiative to notice and address areas that need cleaning. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand or bend for extended periods. Dependability to work 40 hours per week.
Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
Perform custodial duties: clean and sanitize restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, classrooms, general areas, windows, and entry doors. Dust, mop, remove trash, vacuum, and perform periodic deep cleaning (buffing, stripping, waxing floors). Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Maintain a safe environment by properly storing cleaning supplies. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, blinds, walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills. Replace light bulbs and keep inventory of cleaning supplies. Receive and store deliveries; deliver supplies to various areas as needed. Empty wastebaskets and refill water tanks and portable sinks.
