Hotel Houseman 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars New London, CT 06320 Delamar Mystic – NEW stunning waterfront luxury boutique hotel with views of the Mystic River is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented room attendant to clean rooms and/or lobby daily with an intuitive service-minded philosophy and to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend daily department briefing sessions to receive the days room assignments, special notices and general hotel information and activities. Deliver clean linen to assigned linen closets according to established floor par stock levels. Collect dirty linen and garbage at regular times throughout the shift. Dispose of garbage in the correct way according to hotel’s standards. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Report any known linen losses or misused linen immediately. Assist with the processing of hotel and guest linen and laundry deliveries and collections. Participate with linen inventory takes. Move hotel furniture as required by Executive Housekeeper. Receive, collect, and deliver housekeeping supplies and store in assigned areas as requested. Maintain the cleanliness of all corridors, elevators, staircases, and linen closets. Assist in any deep cleaning sessions as requested by the Executive Housekeeper. •Report any maintenance of health and safety issues to the Executive Housekeeper. Assist Room Attendants to clean and service all hotel public areas including the main lobby and hotel front entrance, maintaining the highest possible standards. Ensure the arriving Evening Service Attendant has required stocked items and linens.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma (preferred). Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning (preferred). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently under time constraints. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Work schedules include weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
