Housekeeping Courtyard by Marriott Norwich Norwich, CT 06360 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in in our hotel guest rooms. This role requires a strong commitment to sanitation and hygiene, ensuring that all areas are clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and guests. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Launder linens, towels, and other fabrics as needed to maintain a fresh supply. Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to ensure all surfaces are well-maintained. Manage custodial duties by ensuring that restrooms and common areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist in housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly. Prepare meals or assist with cooking when required, ensuring kitchen cleanliness is upheld during food preparation. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in residential cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with custodial practices and the ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards is essential for success in this role. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while managing time efficiently to complete tasks within designated schedules.
