Summary:

This position is responsible to assist residents as needed, including routine housekeeping, meal preparation and other services. In addition, assist with monitoring residents’ behavior and help ensure a safe, harassment free atmosphere in the housing facility.

Essential Job Functions :

Works in coordination with colleagues and administrator to facilitate client socialization and securing of basic needs. Responsible to maintain interior and exterior of the building for all cleaning activities. Responsible for regular trash pick-up and that premises smell and look clean. Responsible for all laundry and cleaning of the laundry machines and/or the dryers. Assists in monitoring client situation and notifies supervisor or Residential Care Coordinator if client exhibits problematic behavior. Work with Administrator to improve the facility on a continual basis for employee and resident benefits. Responsible to inform Administrator of maintenance requirement for laundry appliances and other areas. Responsible for submitting all documentation and receipts on purchases for the company. Responsible for any State related issues concerning cleanliness in conjunction with the Administrator. Assists clients in participating in therapeutic social and recreational activities. Performs building checks for cleanliness and safety – this includes all rooms. Prohibited from being involved in distribution of medication, even if qualified. Responsible to notify Administrator or person in-charge of any unusual situation or accident. And other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school or

G.E. D. 1-2

years caregiving, housekeeping and/or laundry experience in a similar facility. Medication Administration Certification required Able to perform tasks wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: protective clothing, face masks, gloves, etc. Ability to work in a home environment. Ability to work on emergencies on Holidays, swing shifts. Must be a team player able to cooperate with complex team for successful, completion of own and others job duties. Ability to solve simple problems -referring complex problems to supervisor Ability to assess situation and make own work decisions utilizing established policies and procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to operate equipment or appliances Ability to perform multiple complex tasks concurrently Ability to meet deadlines and comply with Best Practices Ability to lift over 25 lbs.

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$17.00 – $18.00 per hour
