Housekeeper Avalina Senior Living 3003 North University Drive, Sunrise, FL 33322 Housekeeper Job Description As the Housekeeper, you must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. The Housekeeper must be able to follow the cleaning schedule set by the Maintenance Director. The Housekeeper must be reliable, honest and have highly developed listening skills with a focus on customer service and integrity. The Housekeeper will maintain a high level of professionalism and follow the required procedures, instructions, and protocols related to cleaning assigned areas.
Responsibilities:
o Clean residents’ rooms, bathroom and kitchen: sweep, mop, dust, clean mirrors, replenish linens. o Keep steady supplies of bathroom items: toilet paper, soap. o Clean fridge and microwave. o Take out garbage. o Empty all trash cans in resident’s apartments and common areas. o Use cleaning products properly. o Clean common areas; sweep, mop, dust. o Clean community elevators o Clean public bathrooms: sweep, mop, clean counters, and toilets, replenish supplies. o Report all unsafe activities/ broken or damage items to supervisor. Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate. o Experience in elderly care, including individuals with dementia. Excellent organization and communication skills. High standard of detail when cleaning Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Flexible schedule. Job Related Physical Requirements o Able to move throughout community areas independently. o Able to stand and walk the entire shift. o Able to lift and carry up to forty pounds, bend, stoop, pull & twist. – Position reports to the Maintenance Director.
