Full Job Description Position Summary:

The houseperson supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas, assisting with room preparation, and delivering supplies. This role ensures that guests and staff experience a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and meeting rooms. Assist housekeepers by delivering linens, towels, and amenities to guest rooms. Remove trash and soiled linens from housekeeping carts and guest rooms. Set up and break down meeting spaces as needed (tables, chairs, etc.). Refill housekeeping closets and carts with supplies. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal tasks. Provide courteous and prompt service to guests and staff.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is a plus. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Good physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for long periods. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. Often works in indoor environments, occasionally assisting outdoors. Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physical tasks.
