Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control / Tool Room Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in inventory planning/control and tool management , as well as strong computer and communication skills. This role plays a key part in maintaining tool and material accountability, enforcing tool control protocols, and supporting operational efficiency across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain control of the tool room and oversee the issuance/receipt of tools, HazMat, PPE, and materials. Ensure proper tool and equipment tracking using asset control databases. Mark, label, and identify tools and equipment as required. Pick up and drop off materials and calibration equipment (may require company vehicle use). Enforce the Tool Control program across the facility. Monitor and manage the inventory of consumables and HazMat materials. Support calibration recall program and maintain documentation. Perform minor tool repairs and preventive maintenance to extend equipment life. Operate forklift to receive/load materials. Prepare for and support third-party audits of facilities and equipment. Ensure a clean, organized, and safety-compliant tool room environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or tool room management . Must have intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office; inventory software preferred). Ability to read and understand safety manuals, federal regulations, and SOPs. Strong organizational and communication skills. Capable of operating forklifts (certification preferred or must be able to obtain upon hire). Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Able to lift and move equipment and perform physical tasks as required. #MA50
