Description
JOB SUMMARY
Takes all trash including biohazard waste out to correct trash areas. Maintains Bio Storage Room and keeps in a clean and orderly condition as noted in the Trash Tech Assignment Notebook. Uses floor machine (Black Panther) on assigned slate floor areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick up all trash including biohazard waste in both the Tower and ASC building; take regular trash to the proper trash receptacle outside (regular trash, recycle trash). Take biohazard waste to the Bio room in ASC Building 2 Lower Level and put into proper containers; weigh the bio and log onto the proper log sheets located on the wall above the containers. After trash is picked up on elevator landings and other designated areas throughout Building 1 and Building 2, the floor areas where the trash was sitting must be mopped.
Clean and maintain the Bio Storage Room and biohazard waste transport cart and keep both in orderly/clean condition as noted in the Trash Tech Assignment Notebook.
Complete the Bio Storage Room log daily; provide completed log sheet to manager; ensure a log sheet is available for completion each day.
Follow all policies and protocols regarding handling of trash and biohazard waste.
Follow all safety policies.
Help pull trash in different departments when needed.
Check and pull trash in the outside trash cans by the Doctor Call Center and ASC Building 2 Lower Level portico.
Uses Black Panther floor machine on assigned slate floor areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education requirement 10th grade (High school diploma or GED preferred).
