Child care Housekeeper-Custodian & Kitchen Assistant 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Clermont, FL 34714 Summary We are looking for a multi-tasking cleaner and hard working to join our school team with excellent cleanliness standards to attend all areas of our facilities. The goal is keeping our facilities, classrooms and playground in a clean, safe and orderly condition. ?Responsibilities include general cleaning duties such as; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, clean windows, bathrooms, and any other duties generally associated with janitorial services in a child care center. Assist in cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls. Refill dispensers; Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year. In this role you also Assist in serve lunch and snacks for a children on a daily basis.

In person Duties Perform general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning windows and bathrooms to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the school facilities. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly environment in classrooms, playgrounds, and other areas used by children. Clean and sanitize school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls regularly to ensure a hygienic environment. Refill dispensers with supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed to support daily operations. Assist with the setup and removal of seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year to enhance the school environment. Serve lunch and snacks to children on a daily basis, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the school and the well-being of the children. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, staff, and parents. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall functioning of the school. Requirements Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance tasks, preferably in a school or childcare setting. General knowledge of housekeeping procedures. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Capability to follow instructions and established procedures to ensure safety and cleanliness. Skill to work both independently and as part of a team as required. Effective communication skills in English, with proficiency in another language preferred. Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Availability to work in person in a school setting. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and orderliness throughout all areas of the school facilities. Compliance with all school policies and regulations related to safety, well-being, and professional conduct. Nice To Haves Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning food, and serving meals to children. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning kitchen equipment. Support teachers and staff in setting up and organizing classroom materials and learning resources. Provide additional assistance during special events or activities, such as field trips or parent-teacher meetings, as needed. Assist in implementing and adhering to health and safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of food, and ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to childcare, housekeeping, and kitchen assistance. Offer support and assistance to parents and guardians as needed, providing information related to facility maintenance. Continuously strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness in performing job duties, seeking feedback from supervisors and colleagues to identify areas for growth and development.
