You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are kept tidy, sanitary, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness directly contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents and support the smooth operation of our facility.
Housekeeping Aide Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces in resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
Laundry Services:
Collect soiled linens and clothing, launder them according to facility protocols, and distribute clean linens as needed throughout the facility.
Waste Management:
Dispose of trash and biomedical waste in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
Room Setup:
Assist with room turnovers and setups for new admissions, ensuring that rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with essential supplies.
Safety and Infection Control:
Adhere to established safety procedures and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and the spread of infectious diseases.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other departments, including nursing and maintenance, to address housekeeping-related issues and support the overall operation of the facility.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply inventory, and any maintenance issues encountered during routine tasks.
Housekeeping Aide Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is desirable but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and infection control procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
