Houseperson 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 6801 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33141 This job description serves as a guide for establishing the criteria to fill a specific job, and to assist in employee evaluation related to that job. The description is subject to change at management’s discretion, and may include additional or different duties as assigned or directed. Job Summary Primarily responsible for handling guests, supervisor, hotel operators and take care of Hotel’s Linen. Essential Job Functions Pick up and delivery of linen to the guest floors picks up soiled linen from maid bins. Replaces supplies, mops floors, vacuums, empties trash, and dusts. The houseman Should be responsible and leave linen ready in each housekeeping closet. Cleans interior and exterior windows and ensures windows are free of cobwebs, exterior and light fixtures. Delivers requests for guest rooms, i.e., hair dryers, room robes, ice, ironing boards, bed boards, etc. Signs out cart on a daily basis and maintains proper care of carts, i.e., completes necessary cart maintenance requests for repair, empties cart at the end of the shift. Maintains vacuum cleaners and prepares Maintenance Requests for repairs. Cleans guest’s rooms as needed when shorthanded. Moves furniture as required. Picks up department recycle items as scheduled or directed. Performs floor work as needed. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately. Performs other job-related duties as directed including but not limited to: clean, shampoo carpet. Adheres to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort standards for guest service. Refers guest problems or complaints to supervisor according to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort guest problem resolution policy. Education, Experience and Skill Requirements Must be reliable and able to be at work on time as scheduled. Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Must be adaptable and able to perform in a variety of duties. Must be able to work well with a variety of people. Must be safety-conscious at all times with equipment as well as chemicals. Take every opportunity to impress the guest. Anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
