Full Job Description SUMMARY:

Spanish English Creole Ensures the highest quality in cleanliness and service on the guest rooms, corridors, and other designate areas through completing all housekeeping work. Provides support to the Executive Housekeeping Manager in all areas of housekeeping operations including Janitorial.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures that all housekeeping cleaning standards are being maintained by having a thorough understanding of all standards.
  • Responsible for cleaning hotel guest rooms, common areas, unoccupied rooms.
  • Follows and maintaining of the quality assurance or cleanliness standards.
  • Follows new or updated cleaning standards may be needed to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness and assist in training the housekeeping team on these standards.
  • Maintains constant communication with the leaders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness are met in all areas of responsibility.
  • Must perform perform the duties of a housekeeper and janitorial and other assigned duties.
  • Maintain good relationship with team member and others.
  • Maintain proper care of company equipment and client property. Utilize chemicals and equipment properly and prescribed.
  • Must be able to comply with deadlines and prioritize the workload.
  • Adjust to last minute demands, duties and account demands.
  • Balance constructive criticism with positive feedback.
  • Must have a positive attitude towards company demands, needs, and changes.
  • Adjust to changes and move towards improvement in all areas.
  • Must be able to complete all assigned duties in all areas of the building.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience of previous work experience in housekeeping or Janitorial work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge if cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
  • Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment’s.
  • Must read, speak, and write in the English language.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and in a set environment.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written work orders and follow them with accuracy and in close detail.
  • Must have customer service skills.
  • Communicate instructions effectively with staff members.
