The Overnight Houseperson plays a key support role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for stocking supplies, maintaining public areas, responding to guest and staff requests
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and employee areas. Collect and distribute linens, towels, and other housekeeping supplies to floors. Remove trash and soiled linens from housekeeping carts and closets. Restock linen closets and housekeeping carts for morning shift. Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs or reporting issues to Engineering. Respond promptly to guest or front desk requests for additional items (e.g., extra towels, rollaway beds). Deep clean high-touch areas or conduct special overnight cleaning projects as assigned. Ensure storage areas and housekeeping closets are clean, organized, and secured. Assist in setting up meeting rooms or event spaces when needed. Follow all hotel safety and security policies and procedures. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual activity immediately. Uphold a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and guest service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred; hotel experience a plus. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Benefits (Full Time Associates only) We offer competitive wages.
