Job Summary:
Responsible for the cleanliness of public and guest areas of the hotel, supporting the room attendants in maintaining excellent guest room appearance and assisting in the laundry operation as needed. Give exceptional guest service.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Ensure and environment in which high standards of customer service and quality exist for our guests. Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas and linen closets. Stock linen closets and room attendant carts in an efficient and professional manner. Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms as directed. Empty room attendant’s trash and linen bags numerous times during a shift. Delivery rollaway beds and cribs to guest rooms ensuring they are clean and sanitized. Stock supplies in housekeeping storage and linen closets. Assist other public space cleaners and grounds team as needed. Checks elevators for cleanliness including door tracks, floors, and walls. Assist with cleaning rooms when needed. Report any maintenance or safety deficiencies in a timely manner. Comply with all safety requirements of the job and company policies. Respond to guest and co-worker requests with 10 minutes of the call. Communicate effectively and professionally in person and over the radio. Put the needs of the customer first while maintaining a positive attitude. Acknowledge all guests and co-workers within 15 feet and speak to them within 5 feet. Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving ability. Guest and co-worker relations. Ability to multi-task and set priorities. Bilingual preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to sit, stand, bend, walk, use ladders, push carts. Use of hands to finger or feel objects, tools or controls, lift boxes, bags and supplies, lift weight up to 50 pounds. Talk, hear and have vision abilities to be able to see dirt, hair, and other debris. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions including cold, heat and rain.
