Job Summary:

To prepare vacation rentals for arriving guests according to established standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Ensure an environment in which high standards of customer service and quality exist for our guest. Clean guest rooms and bathrooms according to hotel standards, including such tasks as bed making, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and maintaining supplies. Remove fingerprints and smudges ( ex. Mirrors, shinny surfaces, windows, etc.) Daily restock and maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart. Perform “special cleaning” tasks as designated by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Comply with all safety requirements of the position. Report all maintenance issues to a supervisor, noting the issues on your assignment report. Protect assets by returning keys and supplies to proper locations. Notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of all rollaway or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage. Turn in immediately all “lost and found” items to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Report immediately any unusual circumstances to the

Housekeeping Supervisor:

Put the needs of the customer first while maintaining a positive attitude. Speak to every employee and guest you come in contact with. Necessary Skills and Attributes; Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem solving skills. Guest relation skills. Adaptability.

Formal Education:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

1 to 3 years hotel housekeeping experience desired, but not necessary. Will train Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands to finger, or feel objects, tools or controls, lift boxes, and luggage ( up to 50 pounds ), talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job to be able to see dirt and hair.
