Job Description
As a Housekeeping Attendant for Team Member Housing at Sea Island, you assist in delivering extraordinary experiences every day. You are a welcoming and gracious ambassador for Sea Island with every interaction. You provide friendly, attentive, and timely service, ensuring impeccable rooms and public areas that always meet our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. As a Housekeeping Attendant for our Team Member Housing, you live and share your passion for genuine hospitality in your commitment to enriching lives. You are vital to Sea Island’s culture of delivering meaningful, memorable experiences. With this role, you will meet Team Members from all around the world. It is important you have a clear knowledge and understanding of safety and operational procedures that are in place, and that you are able to communicate them effectively. Your key responsibilities include maintaining and daily cleaning of all public spaces of Team Member Housing, as well as scheduled monthly cleanings for all rooms lived in by Team Members of Sea Island. During cleaning of public spaces and units, you simultaneously check each room and public area for tidiness and any general maintenance issues. Findings are to be reported immediately to the Housing Manager. All units/rooms will be on a monthly rotation ensuring all units are cleaned and maintained at least once a month. Upon all departures, rooms are to be deep cleaned and prepared for the next arrival. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and the organization of housekeeping carts, as well as all work areas. You will sometimes assist in the exchange of linens for the residents between scheduled cleanings. Additional activities include assisting in preparation, breakdown and cleaning of Team Member events. You will help maintain inspection reports and accurate communication of room statuses to ensure rooms are ready prior to check-in. You maintain accurate linen inventory and assist and communicating possible needs for supplies to leadership. Your input is valued and encouraged in ensuring the Team Member Housing Team meets our safety goals and standards. You will learn how to consistently uphold and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in aiding when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You are willing and can timely execute other duties as delegated by leadership. You play a key role in welcoming new Team Members, as well as making Team Member Housing a positive experience for them in their home away from home.
Job Requirements:
One Year or more experience working to high housekeeping standards preferred. Physical strength and stamina to perform a housekeeping role, maintain on going, prolonged physical activity throughout a scheduled day to include 50+ pounds. Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods. Follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols, including appropriate use of chemicals, Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Data Sheets. Consistently uphold and ensure your team’s compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance, and lost/found items. Timeliness and flexibility-you agree to work a flexible schedule. We work at peak business hours, which for us includes weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
