Trash & Linen Housekeeper (3:00p-11:30p) – One (1) Avaliable Trash and Linen Housekeeper position summary: Routine trash maintenance and linen exchange to include off-site location(s), if/when needed. Upkeep of all trash/linen receptacles, both inside and outside of facility and off-site clinics as schedule in addition to any additional request make for by the housekeeping supervisor(s), housekeeping manager, and/or Director. Maintenance and coordination of the bio-hazard room along with all trash/linen carts and responsible for proper documentation, containment, and storage of all biohazard and pharmaceutical waste bins. Responsible for adhering to safety programs and regulations. All work is to be performed in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. Trash and Linen Housekeeper Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements: Bio-hazard waste certification to be maintained and renewed per current regulations. (Must be obtained prior to Initial Employee Evaluation; within 6 months of hire) Trash and Linen Housekeeper Education requirements: High School Diploma or GED Trash and Linen Housekeeper physical requirements: Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients’ rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
