SUMMARY:

Provide cleaning services in both check-out and stay over guest rooms to ensure the highest level of cleanliness befitting a four-diamond hotel. Anticipate guest’s needs and respond with a sense of urgency. Enthusiastically and professionally engage with guests and teammates. Complete assignment in a timely manner with an elevated level of accuracy. Comply with standard operating procedure and management direction. Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures. Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning and end of shift. Engage all guests with a warm friendly greeting. Remove all the bed linen and towels and replace it with clean items in all guest rooms. Ensure the linen and towels are stain free and without tears. Remove and dispose of all waste in basket ensure the inside and outside is clean. Move furnishings, lamps and drapes to dust and vacuum. Provide necessary amenities to guest rooms in accordance with the guest room Standard Operating Procedure. Leave the guest room for inspection. Report to Engineering any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas. Follow all Lost & Found Procedures Sign keys and radio in and out daily. Comply will all projects set forth by the housekeeping management team. Restock cart at the end of shift and organize the linen closet to prepare for the next day. Attend mandatory daily, weekly, and monthly meetings. Other housekeeping duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

Hight School Diploma or GED. 1 year of commercial, hotel, hospital, or nursing home cleaning.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions. Must be able to speak and understand English. Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests and team members. Must be able to recognize situations which may require a supervisor to step in.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements described here are representative of the typical daily duties required to succeed in the Room Attendant Role. Employees must be able to push, pull, stand, stop, bend, lift, carry, walk, and use tools properly. Must be able to lift or move at least forty pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Required to use approved chemicals as outlined in the standard operating procedure. Required to use commercial vacuum cleaners. Possess the ability to reach two feet above your head. Experience:

Required Hospital, nursing home, commercial or professional (with references) cleaning experience: 1 – 2 years
