Each Housekeeper works under the direction of the General Manager and other Department Heads as assigned by the General Manager. General Job Description As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, hallways and other areas as assigned. A well-prepared hotel is one that is clean, fully stocked, and in good working order allows us to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. Additionally, a Housekeeper contributes to the overall safety and security of the hotel by reporting damage, following safety rules, and assisting in emergency situations. Duties may include but not limited to:

• Making beds, Sorting Linens, Folding Linens
• Dusting and sanitizing furniture, doors, light fixtures
• Cleaning sinks, mirrors, toilets, showers, tubs
• Carry linens, towels, amenities and cleaning supplies
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
• Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.
• Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, iron and fold dried items.
• Turn in and log in lost and found items immediately.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Weekends required.
