Full Job Description Job Summary Cleaning and Maintenance :
Housemen/houseperson(s) are responsible for cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and service areas. This includes tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows.
Restocking Supplies :
They ensure that linens, towels, and other amenities are replenished in guest rooms and public areas, maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Assisting Housekeeping Staff :
Housemen/houseperson(s) often assist housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning tasks and moving items such as mattresses and linens. Responding to
Guest Requests :
They respond to requests from guests and hotel staff, providing extra towels, blankets, or other amenities as needed.
Event Setup and Breakdown :
Housemen/houseperson(s) may assist with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings, ensuring that the facilities are prepared for various functions.
Maintenance Reporting :
They report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate staff member, ensuring that the hotel remains in good condition.
General Upkeep :
This includes removing trash, cleaning elevators, and ensuring that all areas of the hotel are presentable and safe for guests. Experience Previous experience in custodial or industrial cleaning preferred but not required. Familiarity with hospitality standards and practices is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
