Examples of Duties This is a working leadership position that is responsible for leading four housekeeper positions located in the Social Services building during the hours of 12:30 PM- 9:30 PM. This position ensures that security measures are followed and is responsible for securing all exterior entrances and arming the burglar alarm at the end of each shift. This position will assist in training staff in the effective use time, materials, and equipment. Supply inventory control is a critical role of this position. Team Leaders are responsible for issuing maintenance supplies to the housekeepers assigned to their shift. This worker also inspects work to ensure that the janitorial crew is observing appropriate cleaning standards and methods. Must be able to complete minor maintenance repairs that are reported by the housekeepers. Reports any building maintenance repair need to the Facility Manager. Contributes to the performance appraisals and participates in other staff related personnel responsibilities. As a working leader, performs janitorial duties for the assigned areas daily, including rooms, halls, stairways, and assists other staff in completing janitorial assignments when necessary. May perform other related duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Completion of grammar school and one year of experience in housekeeping work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in custodial maintenance of public or commercial buildings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities General knowledge of established cleaning procedures and techniques. General knowledge of purpose and application of products and equipment used in a cleaning operation. Ability to observe and evaluate effectiveness of work group dispersed through assigned area. Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate instructions. Ability to implement, coordinate, monitor, and adjust daily work schedule or routines. Ability to give basic instructions, supervision, and individual assistance to a work group. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
