Perform a variety ofhousekeeping and housekeeping-related duties to ensure assigned areclean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties and Responsibilities Provide a highlevel of customer service and adhere to college policies,procedures, guidelines, and established safety rules andprecautions. Establish and maintain strong working relationshipswith team members and colleagues and contribute positively andconstructively to teamwork and achieving established objectives.

Maintain all Housekeeping related Cleaning Checklists or reports asrequested by the Housekeeping Coordinator. Report any safetyhazards and needed repairs including, but not limited to leakingfaucets or toilets, loose, or damaged flooring or ceiling tiles,and non-functioning light fixtures. May assist with housekeepingrelated duties for special events. May assist the HousekeepingCoordinator to perform the set-up/tear-down of tables, chairs,equipment, and related items for on-campus and off-campus eventsand functions, including the Myers Center Multi-Purpose Room.

Assist with Housekeeping related duties as assigned on the Dallas,Kimbrell, and Lincoln Campus locations, or any college relatedsatellite location. Perform other related duties as assigned. DailyDuties and Responsibilities Always maintain general housekeepingand cleanliness of all assigned areas. Empty wastebaskets andtransport other trash and waste to designated disposal areas.

Recycle cardboard as needed. Clean the building entry door glassand windows to remove finger prints, smudges, spider webs, etc.

Maintain the building entry areas inside and out up to 15′ from alldoorways. Remove trash, debris, spider webs, etc. Please empty anytrash cans located within this designated area. Clean and sanitizerestrooms and showers (if applicable) including but not limited tofloors, sinks, mirrors, toilets, fixtures, countertops, doors, anddoor handles. Replenish all hand soaps, paper products, sanitizers,and air fresheners in assigned areas. Clean walk-off mats, windows,and glass doors. Vacuum carpets and rugs and spot clean floors bysweeping and/or mopping as needed. Mop corridors and hallwayfloors, lobbies, and other areas. Maintain a clean and orderlycleaning supply storage area including inventory. Operate variouscleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers as pertraining. Information written on dry erase boards and/orchalkboards may need to remain for classroom and other educationalpurposes and is not to be erased or cleaned unless specificallyrequested . Other aspects such as tray holders are to be cleaned.

Weekly Duties and Responsibilities (at a minimum) Dust railings,furniture surfaces, pictures, bookshelves, windowsills, etc. Cleanbaseboards and spot-clean walls. Mop stairs and vacuum carpets.

Clean glass in all interior doors, walls, partitions, and dividersas needed to remove finger prints, smudges, etc. Yearly Duties andResponsibilities (at a minimum) as Applicable and/or Assigned Cleanrugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture. Shampoo carpets. Cleanall accessible windows inside and out.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONQUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred.

MINIMUMEXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Previous professional housekeeping workexperience, and experience operating cleaning equipment (e.g.,vacuums, buffers, and burnishers) preferred. Strong oral andwritten communication skills required. Valid driver’s licenserequired. Good work record required. Fingerprinting required uponhire. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Division of CriminalInvestigation (DCI) certification required. In addition to thestandard background check, this position requires having a clearfingerprint-based criminal records search through the State Bureauof Investigation (SBI).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Bending, stooping,and reaching required. Ability to lift and maneuver items weighingup to 40 pounds is required. Ability to wear non-slip foot wear isrequired. Continual walking and occasional climbing of stairsrequired. May involve exposure to weather, noise, dust, odors, andbloodborne pathogens. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
