Full Job Description Summary:
Responsible for helping to achieve ongoing satisfaction through the upkeep and cleanliness of the Ron Barnes Recovery Center. The primary responsibility is to provide cleaning services with the goal of exceeding expectations. Must possess good communication skills, be responsive to company needs, maintain behavior standards, and keep work areas in an organized, clean, neat, visually appealing condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleaning patient rooms, hallways, work stations, recreation area, bathrooms, visitor areas, support areas, etc. Spot cleaning walls, light fixtures, etc. Clean furniture, glass, planters, etc., in public areas, such as general areas, and restrooms. Sweep and vacuum floors and hallways, and stairwells. Oversee client laundering. Report any maintenance needs to ensure that our facilities, furnishings, and equipment are maintained in a “like new” condition. Remove trash from rooms and facility. Other cleaning duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not oversee staff.
Qualifications:
Must pass drug screen and background check. A strong work ethic The ability to work alone is a must.
Education Minimum Required:
Must possess at a minimum High School Diploma/GED. Experience At least 1 year of experience. Required Skills/Abilities Work well with other team members and departments Read, write, and perform simple math calculations. Effectively communicate with staff and clients utilizing courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to work independently without direct supervision by following all residential procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks. Safely carry or transport equipment and supplies to and from facility areas as needed. Follow directions accurately and efficiently.
Work Environment:
The work is performed in an adult residential facility, with a moderate noise level.

Summary of Occupational Exposures Housekeeping has potential exposure, which includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. OSHA Blood borne Pathogen Standard 1910.1030(c)(2)(i) more specifically defines Category I Potential Exposure as: All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of these. Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for every employee engaging in Category I tasks.
