Housekeeper All American Assisted Living at Washington Twp 339 Greentree Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080 Job Overview include, but are not limited to: Clean Public and common areas as scheduled. When assigned, clean apartments as defined in the assistance plan. Facility laundry. Resident laundry, as scheduled. Report concerns or observations about Residents to Supervisor. Ensure a safe living environment. Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services (cleaning, personal laundry, etc.) to Residents and submit to office on the 20th of each month. Wash windows in public areas quarterly, or more often if needed. Assist with exterior window washing, twice per year. Clean public restrooms daily. Assist in serving meals. Carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures. Report on-the-job injuries to the Supervisor before the end of work shift on the day the injury occurs. Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, Residents, families and visitors. Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to Residents, facility operations and personnel. Promote facility in a positive way. Promote teamwork in providing services to Residents. Promote customer service. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Attend mandatory in-services. Maintain education requirements as defined by scope of practice, if applicable. OSHA regulations-MSDS Sheets and procedures. Fire and Safety procedures. Food handing regulations. Operation of cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaner, carpet shampoo machine, floor mop and wringer); laundry appliances (washing machines, dryers, iron) and kitchen appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine); Heated/Air conditioned, well-lit facility with minimal barriers. Kitchen can become quite hot during summer months. Weekend work expected on a rotation basis. Lifting, pushing or pulling up to 30 lbs., using proper body mechanics or available equipment. Bending or kneeling to perform cleaning tasks. Lifting of arms above head to reach and clean shelves and windows. Use of cleaning chemicals. Housekeeping ability. Willingness to work and learn. Enjoy working with older adults. High school diploma or GED required with reading, comprehension and writing ability at a 12th grade level or higher. Residents always come first. Their needs will be met unless there is a conflict with the needs of others or the organization as a whole. Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol. Neat, professional appearance. Adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene are expected.
