On-Call House Cleaner (Independent Contractor) Tidy Effect Cleaning Hoboken, NJ Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented House Cleaner to join our growing team at Tidy Effect Cleaning. You’ll perform cleanings in residential homes ranging from standard upkeep to deep cleans, move-outs, and Airbnb turnovers. We’re looking for contractors who take pride in their work and can provide excellent service with consistency and care.

This is NOT an hourly position. Pay is per job. The hourly range listed is a rough estimate based on average job size. This is an on-call, flexible position. There is no guaranteed number of hours per week. When a job becomes available, you will receive a notification through our system. You can choose to accept the shift if it fits your schedule. This role is ideal for someone looking to pick up extra work with flexibility, not for someone seeking full-time hours. If you have free time during the week or weekends and want flexible, on-call work this role is a great fit. Duties Clean residential homes as scheduled (standard, deep, move-out, Airbnb) Follow cleaning checklist and any client-specific notes Bring your own supplies, including vacuum, mop, towels, cleaning solutions Check in and out using the PocketSuite app for every job Take before and after photos of all rooms/areas cleaned Communicate with management if access issues, excessive mess, or safety concerns arise Treat all clients and properties with professionalism and respect Skills To succeed in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria: Prior residential cleaning experience is required (standard cleans, deep cleans, move-outs, Airbnb turnovers) Must bring your own cleaning supplies and equipment (including vacuum, mop, and all necessary products) Must have strong attention to detail and take pride in high-quality results Reliable transportation is required to travel to client locations Must be able to speak and understand English clearly Must be comfortable using a smartphone and apps like PocketSuite to: Check in and out Upload before/after photos • Must be professional, punctual, and dependable Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision Strong communication and customer service skills Join us in creating clean and welcoming environments for our clients!
