Responsibilities:

Perform day-to- housekeeping functions and specific tasks as assigned. Clean, wash, polish, sanitize, deodorize and disinfect all areas and items in the facility and residents rooms including furnishings, fixtures, trash bins, windows ,mirrors, floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, etc. Use proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and procedures, ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, clearly marked with caution or safety signs as required. Follow Universal precautions and infection control, isolation, fire safety and sanitation practices and promptly report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Director of Environmental Services. Maintain resident confidentiality. Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Know and comply with residents’ rights, promptly report all resident complaints, accidents and incidents to nursing staff. ​

Qualifications:

Ability to speak, write and understand English. Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED required Previous Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques a plus Effective communication and collaboration skills are required Organizational stewardship and Excellent Customer Service Skills required
