– Cleaning Assistant Positions Orchid House Cleaning New York, NY 10040 Join Our Residential Cleaning Team – Flexible Schedule, Paid Training, and Tips! We’re currently looking for dependable and energetic individuals to perform one to two home cleanings per day, typically in 3-4 hour shifts. Our services run 7 days a week, so we welcome various availabilities. You’ll be traveling between clients using public transportation, and we’ll provide clear instructions for each job. This is a 1099 contractor position. In addition to your hourly rate, many clients also leave tips for great service. Orchid House Cleaning (OHC) is proud to be an equal opportunity provider. You’re a great match if you: Prefer being on the move rather than sitting still Are comfortable using public transit in NYC Don’t mind walking and navigating with Google Maps Approach any task big or small with a positive attitude Are reliable, punctual, and rarely miss work Love the satisfaction of leaving a space sparkling clean Have experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or customer service What You’ll Be Doing (including but not limited to): Wipe down kitchen counters, desks, and other surfaces Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets and sinks Remove trash, recycling, and compost Wash dishes by hand or use a dishwasher Spot clean cabinets, drawers, and mirrors Polish stainless steel surfaces and appliances Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors Ensure homes are properly locked and secured when leaving Maintain a respectful attitude with team members and clients Arrive on time for jobs and meetings Follow safety procedures and cleanliness standards Participate in ongoing training and skill development

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED preferred A working smartphone with a data plan Ability to work independently without constant supervision Must be physically able to stand/walk for long periods (4-8 hours), climb stairs, kneel, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
