Job Overview:

A private couple is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Laundress to maintain their multi-level townhome and adjoining art studio (totaling approximately 6,000 sqft). The ideal candidate must have experience working in a private household, be proactive, and take pride in creating a clean, organized, and well-maintained environment. The Housekeeper will report directly to the principals and collaborate with the private Chef to ensure smooth household operations.

Responsibilities:

Perform deep cleaning and daily maintenance of the townhome and art studio, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Organize and maintain closets, storage areas, and household items. Handle delicate and high-end materials, including fine furnishings, antiques, and artwork, with care. Assist with laundry, ironing, and linen care. Manage household supplies, restock cleaning products, and notify the principals of any necessary replenishments. Ensure all areas of the home are guest-ready at all times. Work seamlessly alongside the private Chef, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are maintained. Assist with occasional light errands and organizational tasks as requested. Flexibility to go upstate for the day to assist cleaning and organizing of the second residence (minimal support required upstate).

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a housekeeper in a private household. Experience cleaning and caring for high-end furniture, surfaces, and artwork. Strong attention to detail, organization, and discretion. Ability to work independently and take initiative while respecting the preferences of the principals. Must be flexible, reliable, and trustworthy. Ability to work collaboratively with other household staff. Legal authorization to work in the
