young vibrant family is looking for an energized addition to their NYC household. Seeking a Housekeeper/ Laundress with some light cooking for the children and some oversight of the children to assist their on-staff Nanny. The family comprises of three children, ages 5, 3 and 1. There is a Nanny for the one-year-old child. Starting at the end of June, the 3- and 5-year-olds will be at camp all day and in the Fall in school for a full day. The role to hire is more of a housekeeping / cooking for kids / laundry role, though ready to do some gap filling on childcare e.g. picking up a child from an after-school activity or keeping an eye out for the children while the parents and or the Nanny run an errand. The parents are looking for a happy and energized professional who contributes with a service heart and is pleased with performing their duties in a manner of ownership in a self-starter manner of care of wonderful household appointments. There are a number of business-related calls and discussions during the day so a peaceful and quiet, calm demeanor is essential and a true passion for doing what you do in a respectful and mindful manner. Clearly with the children being infants there will be laundry and infant clothing to keep clean and sanitized, cleaning the household in a scheduled manner of deep cleaning and regular scheduled maintenance cleaning on a daily basis. Running errands, cleaning of the bathrooms and kitchen – complete overall care with dusting and mopping, care of the sheets & changing bed linens/ making of beds. Highly organized and methodical with full knowledge and the experience to maintain wardrobes, closet care and ensure the daily refreshment of the rooms. Must enjoy the busy environment of having young children in the home. This is an overview of the expected requirements although it may shift given the daily scheduling and unforeseen changes. 1pm – 7 pm, 5 or 6 days a week; M-F at a minimum (although for Hamptons if flexibly for the 1-2 off days to be during the week that’s preferred) Live-out while in NYC, live-in while at the Hampton’s Driving a plus but not required Start time is ASAP Looking for excellent references to lend to excellent “know-how” as relates to your daily approach. Flexible to travel and be away in the Hamptons during your work week. If you speak Tagalog, this is a plus but not essential.
