The Residence Hall Dormitory Housekeeper is a member of the MVCC Dormitory Corporation Residence Hall Facilities team responsible for a variety of routine cleaning tasks to produce a clean, healthy and aesthetically pleasant environment for the Residence Hall residents and guests. Monday

• Friday 6:00 a.m.
• 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.
• 3:30 p.

m. (your choice). $17.50 per hour plus a generous benefit package including paid time off.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall cleaning of Residence Halls; Collect trash, clean and disinfect all bathrooms, student rooms, clean public areas to include floors, walls, doors, furniture and equipment. and clean stairwells. Must be able to slide furniture in connection with cleaning and care functions. Must be able to transport equipment and supplies; including via stairs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Employment experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, brooms/mops, and cleaning solutions. Communication skills. Good knowledge of general commercial housekeeping practices and their applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior employment in custodial or cleaning experience in either education or healthcare or a similar environment. Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules. Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
