JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State Fullers Overlook is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Housekeeper. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all living areas and bedrooms at Penn State Fullers Overlook are kept clean, organized, and sanitized. The ideal candidate will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment. This position will handle laundry and manage supplies. This is an in-person position. Penn State Fullers Overlook is located 16 miles northwest of Scranton near Waverly, PA.
Job duties to include:
Inspect room after guest departs; report missing, damaged, lost, and found items to supervisor Clean and tidy bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces Remove, bundle, and replace soiled linen; make beds and turn mattresses as needed Restock dispensers and replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, towels, writing supplies, and bathroom items; replaced burned out light bulbs Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors Wash, fold, and iron bedding and linens as needed Maintain a neat and organized environment by decluttering rooms and organizing household items Clean and sanitize kitchen counters, appliances, dishes, and other surfaces Monitor household cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when items need replenishing Empty trash cans and dispose of garbage Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as washing windows, cleaning baseboards, and scrubbing bathroom tiles Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies: High school diploma Previous experience with housekeeping
Schedule:
Variable schedule Monday through Friday up to 20 hours per week
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $30/hour.
