Housekeeping Aide – Hampton Hazleton 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1 Top Of The 80S Rd, Hazleton, PA 18202 Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and any other area that may be assigned. Supplies areas with items required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. The person holding this position is responsible for carrying out all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. DAILY Cleans guest rooms according to the “Once a Round” procedure in the amount of time set up in labor standards. Makes beds according to standards with fresh sheets and pillowcases. Picks up debris from the floor, vacuums floor and removes, as well as empties trash in wastebaskets. Cleans mirrors and shelves, wipes doors, doorframes, and furniture. Dusts light fixtures, windowsills, baseboards, and picture frames. Arranges furniture properly. Cleans bathrooms, scrubs basins, tubs, toilets, and tile floor with appropriate chemical solutions and rags in accordance with Hamister Hospitality policy. Replenishes room supplies in proper quantity and location. Reports to the Executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Executive Housekeeper all vacated and cleaned rooms. Checks heating and cooling system as appropriate for the time of year, televisions, radios, clocks, and all lights in all areas of the bathroom and guest room. Reports all deficiencies in operation of heating and cooling systems, televisions, radios, clocks, and replaces light bulbs as needed. Always maintain a clean and well-stocked cart.
COMPLIANCE AND RECORD KEEPING
Submits work orders when maintenance deficiencies are noted. Completes all company and Brand required training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. Ability to work varied number of hours per week on a rotating basis. Must be in uniform and always wearing nametag. Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance. Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment. Must be capable of the physical activity necessary to be able to perform all the tasks designated for laundry personnel, and general cleaners. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry, or push (up to 75 lbs.), lift (up to 50 lbs.), see (for dirt or stains), hear (for security purposes), climb stairs or ladders, and have manual dexterity.
