Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families, and team members while meeting and exceeding quality service standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

Desire to work with seniors Able to provide housekeeping services in a resident centered environment Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision; following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow-through on assigned tasks Able to handle multiple priorities Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions

MINIMUM 1

year housekeeping experience Essential Duties Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties in resident suites, common areas, bathrooms, and offices Maintains equipment and supplies needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition Laundry room tasks such as folding and delivery of clothing Transportation of supplies, including clean and soiled linens, to appropriate collection areas Trash collection and removal in all areas of the community Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens to be replaced Ensure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times and are not blocking exits Comply with all infection control techniques and placement of bio-hazard containers and removal techniques Communicate with supervisor the inventory of equipment and products Respect privacy of residents at all times Spring Village at Pocono does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.
