$31K – $35.9K a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Management High school diploma or GED Cleaning Entry level Full Job Description The Sea Pines Country Club fitness center cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a gym facility by performing tasks like wiping down exercise equipment, sweeping floors, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, replenishing supplies, and adhering to cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for members Essential Functions The following functions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. Cleaning exercise equipment:

Regularly wiping down and sanitizing all fitness equipment, including weights, machines, treadmills, bikes, and benches.

Floor maintenance:

Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors in the gym area, including the entrance, workout space, and locker rooms.

Bathroom sanitation:

Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and stalls, replenishing paper towels and soap.

Locker room upkeep:

Cleaning and sanitizing locker room areas, including lockers, benches, and floors.

Dusting and wiping surfaces:

Dusting surfaces like mirrors, windows, and reception areas, wiping down high-touch points like door handles and water fountains.

Trash removal:

Regularly emptying trash cans throughout the gym facility.

Chemical handling:

Properly storing and using cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.

Maintaining cleanliness standards:

Adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistent hygiene.

Reporting maintenance issues:

Identifying and reporting any damage or repair needs to the facility management. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Reliable, trustworthy, and great representative of Sea Pines Country Club Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures Ability to lift and move cleaning supplies This position requires mandatory work every weekend. Special Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Physical Requirements This work requires the regular exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently walking, speaking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires sitting, climbing or balancing and tasting or smelling; work requires close vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, using of measuring devices, operating fitness equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work requires the ability to work around an aquatic environment.
