The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. Housekeeper must be comfortable communicating with guests they encounter, as well as the Housekeeping staff to efficiently service guest houses. Teamwork amongst all housekeeping staff, as well as the ability to perform the daily tasks required for the position, form the foundation on which each individual is able to develop and succeed within the department. Housekeeping Attendant Responsibilities Cleaning and servicing assigned houses or areas according to established standards Procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning of kitchen area, refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware etc.. Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures. Knowledge & Skills Requires Basic knowledge of Housekeeping, preferred. Ability to clean and tidy luxury vacation homes to industry best practices. Ability to service multiple homes in different locations during the same day. Honest, respectful, trustworthy, dependable, caring and fun. Excellent interpersonal skills. Follow proper techniques, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used for cleaning. Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are followed when performing housekeeping procedures. Organized with a high level of attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks. Upbeat, positive disposition with genuine “can do” attitude. Flexible schedule, including long days, holidays and weekends. Ability to communicate in English. Maintain the confidentiality of resident information. General knowledge of destination. Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously. The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously. The physical ability to occasionally climb on a ladder to heights in excess of 12′. The physical ability to continuously carry up to 20 pounds of weight both on flat surfaces and up and down stairs for distances of up to 150 feet. The physical ability to use any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses and other protective equipment deemed appropriate on a continuous basis.
Desired Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience of six-months a plus. Able to communicate well both verbally and written. Reading and counting is essential. Computer efficient in both Excel and Word is preferred. Compensation – $17.50- $20.00/ hour We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training and experience related to scope of responsibilities. Benefits – This position is eligible for 401k.
