Position Summary:
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. This includes making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and ensuring an overall clean and welcoming environment for hotel guests. Room Attendants play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and tidy guest rooms, including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms. Replenish guest room amenities such as towels, toiletries, and bottled water. Report any maintenance issues or lost-and-found items to the housekeeping supervisor. Follow hotel procedures for handling and returning lost items. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to Housekeeping or Engineering teams using communication tools provided. Both restock and empty trash from housekeeping carts at the end of each shift. Follow all safety, security, and sanitation policies and procedures. Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, and other public areas as assigned. Comply with company policies and procedures and hotel brand standards. Adhere to time standards for cleaning rooms efficiently.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest requests and concerns effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced environment requiring physical effort. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and repetitive motions. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and various indoor environments.
