Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Staff provide the day-to-day housekeeping in the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces according to established cleaning schedules and infection control standards. Empty trash receptacles, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness of work areas. Launder linens, bedding, and resident personal laundry (if required by the facility). Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and in accordance with facility policies. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department. Interact courteously and respectfully with residents, families, and staff. Follow all state and federal guidelines for infection prevention and sanitation. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings, is a plus but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing a high standard of cleanliness. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing carts for extended periods.
