The Hub Hotel Attendant’s role is critical to the Hub providing a hospitable trauma-informed environment free of clutter and dirt. The Hub Hotel Attendant’s responsibilities are carried out in the main building, Hub Hotel space, and in Hub Studios. The Hub Hotel Attendant’s primary responsibility is to bring dedication, skill and passion to creating a clean, bright, healing, welcoming environment for each new guest. The Hub Hotel Attendant’s role is critical to the Hub providing a hospitable trauma-informed environment free of clutter and dirt. The Hub Hotel Attendant’s responsibilities are carried out in the main building, Hub Hotel space, and in Hub Studios. The Hospitality Hub serves people who have experienced discrimination, violence, and other traumatic events. Many Hub clients and guests are healing from trauma related to their marginalization. It is critically important that all members of the Hub team maintain a hospitable and welcoming environment by remaining calm and kind when clients are feeling frustrated.

5 days a week, days can vary, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Pay:

Range starts at $15/hour

Responsibilities:

Follows all cleaning policies, protocols, instructions and schedules Completes bedroom and bathroom turnover between guests in Hub Hotel and Studios including cleaning and sanitizing, laundry, beds, emptying trash, mopping, preparing and placing welcome baskets Cleans and sanitizes bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors between guests and as needed Maintains linen closet and cleans towels and sheets, comforters, pillows meeting sanitation standards Restocks necessary items, such as soap, toiletries and paper products Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture. Works with Facilities Managers to order supplies and manage maintenance needs Takes care of daily spills and messes Waters plants, empty trash receptacles, cleans glass doors and windows Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment Clean, sanitize and tidy up hallways, elevator, upstairs porch, common areas including the family room, team room, snack room Clean and sanitize Studios between guests Cleans Studio bath and laundry house daily Dust and polish surfaces and furniture

Requirements:

1+ year experience Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies Able to work 8 hours on your feet and lift 30 lbs Detail-oriented and conscientious Passionate about people and spaces Able to follow instructions Strong time-management skills
