PRIMARY
FUNCTION
Primarily responsible for ensuring we follow our company’s HACCP plan. Responsible for monitoring HACCP CCP’s at the specified frequency as stated in the plant’s HACCP plan or as necessary depending on conditions. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Communicate with Production & QA Team Members regarding any deviations from the Critical limits for the CCP being monitored.
Assist Production with day to day problems and reach workable solutions.
Perform other duties assigned by their supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience.
Basic math functions and skills.
Verbal & Written English skills required. Knowledge of food products, food processing and GMPs are helpful.
Some knowledge of computers or willing to learn about computers.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, smock, earplugs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant bending and stooping, or walking and standing, for 8 to 10 hrs.
Lift up to 30 pounds.
Work in moist and cold environment – approximately 40 degrees.
