Job Details:
SUMMARY:
The person in this position will be responsible for procuring available market ready cattle in a predetermined area. Duties also include transferring pertinent information to all scale house coordinators for price reporting and scheduling purposes. This person must also stay informed on market conditions and monitor available cattle supply and is responsible for decisions regarding cattle pricing. Other duties include developing strong working relationships with all customers, scale house coordinators and upper management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
BS Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Cattle livestock experience required. Prior experience in the cattle and packing industry preferred.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills:
Strong mathematical skills.
Travel:
70 to 80%.

Relocation assistance is not available. Predetermined area for procurement is within 100 miles of Joslin, IL, preferred.
