SUMMARY:

The person in this position will be responsible for procuringavailable market ready cattle in a predetermined area. Duties alsoinclude transferring pertinent information to all scale housecoordinators for price reporting and scheduling purposes. This personmust also stay informed on market conditions and monitor availablecattle supply and is responsible for decisions regarding cattle pricing.

Other duties include developing strong working relationships with allcustomers, scale house coordinators and upper management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education:

  BS Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience:

  Cattle livestock experience required. Prior experience in the cattle and packing industry preferred

• Computer Skills:

  Basic computer skills

• Communication Skills:

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Special Skills:

  Strong mathematical skills

• Travel:

  70 to 80%
