The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in food handling and meal preparation. As an Oyster Shucker, you will play a crucial role in providing our customers with fresh, high-quality oysters while ensuring exceptional service and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities Skillfully shuck oysters while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Prepare oysters for service by ensuring they are cleaned, presented, and garnished appropriately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the oyster shucking station and surrounding areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of oysters and related supplies. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about oyster varieties, and making recommendations. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service. Qualifications Previous experience as a dietary aide, cook, or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
