Cooking Room Operator, AM, Deli – Lakeland Publix – 3.9 Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time $18.90 – $26.10 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid parental leave Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Employee stock ownership plan Qualifications Basic math Entry level Full Job Description Description Responsibilities include: Preparing and cooking product Operating equipment including pump fill stations, kettles, tumbler chiller, lift, hoist, tipper tie, and incline conveyor Assembling and disassembling equipment including 2045C Hot Fill Machine Gathering, prepping, and weighing fresh ingredients Completing all necessary paperwork required for the position Providing timely and accurate communication to the salad production areas concerning production needs Monitoring product temperatures Gathering samples for Quality Control Stacking products in tubs or racks Accurately following recipes Working in other areas as needed Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications The required qualifications for this position include: Must be at least 18 years old Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Must demonstrate safe working habits Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently Must be able to learn and perform all positions Must possess general knowledge of machine operation Must be able to push tubs and drums weighing in excess of 625 pounds Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player) Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours Must have excellent attendance and punctuality Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions Must possess basic math skills Must be able to communicate effectively Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work A commitment to Publix and our mission Hours of Work 9:00am – 5:30pm; rotating days of the week Work Environment Temperatures range from 30 to 85 degrees. Frequency of Pay Weekly Minimum Base Pay 18.90 Maximum Base Pay 26.10 Potential Annual Base Pay 39,312 – 54,288 Year End Bonus To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Other Compensation Information Weekend Differential:

A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
