The Seafood Department at Creation Gardens/What Chefs Want is seeking highly motivated employees for our full service, custom fish processing facility. Culinary experience is a plus, and we always intend to promote from within. Come be part of the one of the fastest growing foodservice companies in America. DUTIES and TASKS

• Implementing standards, procedures, and processes for the manufacturing of high-quality protein products.
• Oversees the orientation, and training of technical and non-technical fish processing employees
• Assigns workload to production staff with their strengths and weaknesses in mind
• Monitors various aspects of seafood production to ensure the final product meets internal and customer specifications.
• Ensures compliance with FDA and internal production regulations and legislation.
• Report any maintenance, repair, and replacement of processing equipment needs to ensure smooth work operations
• Opens all repacks and plans daily production for seafood processing operations
• Completes and signs off on all FDA and HACCP paperwork
• Monitors all orders to ensure completion and accuracy.
• Ensures that all products are stored in optimum conditions; performs temperature and cooler checks throughout the day
• Assigns special duties and projects as needed
• Assigns employees to other departments as needed
• Build and distribute end of day reports

BASIC POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge/Job Specific Qualities
• Prior management experience
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to promote a team environment in accomplishing the goals of The Butchery and WCW
• Ability to demand a safe and clean working environment
• Ability to manage employees and understand their needs
• Knowledge of HACCP, and workplace regulations through continued training and education.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate written instructions
• Ability to lift boxes in excess of 50lbs throughout the shift
• Ability to work in cold temperatures for several hours during the shift
• Personal Qualities
• Strong leadership skills and embracing quality management techniques.
• Communication a sense of urgency concerning time management and order deadlines
• Flexibility with schedule and the ability to transition from one task to another
