Fish Processing Technician – Machiasport, ME at Maine Staffing Group in
Machias, Maine, United States Job Description Duties:
Set up and operate machines to clean, cut, process, and package fresh fish products in accordance with company safety and quality procedures
Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality assurance standards are met
Make necessary adjustments to maintain conformance with company standards
Evaluate fish fillets to determine optimal number and size of sections, cut accordingly, and place in containers for weighing
Perform tasks including cutting, cleaning, trimming, filleting, and scaling fish
This position requires standing for extended periods and using hand tools such as knives and pliers
