Willingness to learn essential of the seafood business including proper handling, processing, cutting, quality control, packing and pricing. Cashier Duties Include:
Giving every customer immediate and undivided attention Quality control of all products to ensure freshness Prepare, weigh, package and price products for sale Cleaning and sanitizing Assist in Morning Set up and Evening close
Laborer Duties Include:
Loading and unloading trucks Packing and Repacking product Cleaning and Sanitation Cooler and Freezer Organization Shoveling Ice Assist in Morning Set Up and Evening Close Possible delivery runs to local restaurants Core Functions and Responsibilities for
Fish Cutter:
Follow and comply with proper health and sanitation measures Operate and Sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner Scale, fillet, skin, portion and weigh whole fish as needed, for sale to wholesale and retail clients Follow all HACCP guidelines, maintain temperature logs, SSOP, and daily record keeping Maintain records/tags of all shellfish and seafood, as necessary Clean and organize the cutting room at the close of all production shifts Observes all safety and sanitation regulations to ensure that the highest quality of product reaches our customers Assist in Morning set up and evening close
Requirements:
Previous seafood experience and knife handling preferred (will warrant higher wage) Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team Ability to communicate effectively with customers Ability to follow instructions and procedures Ability to learn knowledge of all products and sell effectively Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness Strong work ethic and integrity Proper handling of equiment Available for flexible scheduling Valid Driver’s license Job type: Full time
