Meat Processing Assistant Pig N’ Mor Store 4473 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC 27917 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Processing Assistant to join our team at The Currituck Meat Market. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of food products while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols and mechanical knowledge to assist in various production tasks. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and processing of food products, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Utilize knives and other tools for meat cutting and fabrication as required. Package finished products for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and compliance with regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, following OSHA and HACCP guidelines. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues to supervisors. Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Previous experience in food production or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with food safety standards, including HACCP and OSHA regulations. Proficient knife skills for meat cutting and fabrication tasks, preferred but not required. Training to be provided. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the workplace. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
