As an Oyster Shucker, you will be responsible for preparing oysters for service, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Duties Shuck oysters with precision and care, ensuring the highest quality presentation for each dish. Prepare oysters for various menu items, including raw bars and cooked dishes. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling seafood. Assist in meal preparation as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness of the shucking station and surrounding areas, following proper cleaning protocols. Monitor inventory levels of oysters and other seafood products, communicating needs to management. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
