For the Pasta Department Manager, this means overseeing all pasta department operations, managing the team, ensuring quality pasta and related products, streamlining workflows, and delivering exceptional customer experiences to achieve business goals. Your Day-to-Day Oversee daily pasta department operations, including fresh pasta production, sauces, and specialty items Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients and packaging supplies, and manage purchasing to meet customer demand and minimize waste Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety compliance in the pasta production area, including equipment maintenance and adherence to health regulations Create staff schedules in alignment with employees’ availability and oversee payroll accuracy to meet operational needs and budget goals Address unexpected issues such as staffing gaps, employee conflicts, production disruptions, or inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively Handle customer concerns, special requests, and product inquiries to ensure satisfaction and maintain brand reputation Implement and oversee upselling strategies to boost sales of pasta products Support all departmental functions and positions, including hands-on pasta production, to ensure smooth and efficient operations Provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing development to build a skilled and effective team. Facilitate job interviews, manage disciplinary discussions, and develop employee success plans to align individual goals with company objectives Dedicate focused time away from production to complete administrative tasks efficiently, including recipe testing and planning seasonal offerings Analyze departmental reports such as sales, shrink, and labor metrics to guide decision-making What you bring to the Farm Hold an active ServSafe or HACCP certification, demonstrating expertise in food safety and sanitation practices Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in pasta production, culinary arts, or food manufacturing, with proven leadership experience in a food service or retail environment Ability to ensure precision and consistency in pasta recipes, texture, presentation, and quality standards Adaptability to fluctuating business volumes, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency during both peak and off-peak periods Address and resolve team conflicts fairly and professionally by fostering open communication, listening to all perspectives, and collaborating on solutions that strengthen team cohesion Proactive initiative to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and own tasks independently Ability to demonstrate, encourage, and set the example of Adams’ culture and values Awareness of and commitment to supporting store and office initiatives Ability to learn and operate Adams’ point of sale and production tracking systems Proficiency in Windows programs and communication tools for efficient operations and team coordination Collaborate, communicate, and lead effectively with team members and store management Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity, and product knowledge about Adams’ fresh pasta offerings and overall quality standards Perks of the Job At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $24.00-28.00 . At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
