JOB SUMMARY
The Oyster Specialist will be responsible for working the raw bar station and shucking oysters within resort and restaurant operations. This role will also be extremely passionate and knowledgeable on oysters/ sanitary practices/ and maintaining higher cleanliness standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES
- Will be shucking a perfect oyster a few hundred times a night
- Butchers fish and shellfish.
- Will need to teach/train others on how to shuck the perfect oyster
- Reads menu to estimate food requirements and procures food from storage.
- Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
- Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.
- Some additional light prep when needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Looking for an individual that has a passion for oysters/seafood. Must have a minimum of three years’ experience with oysters/seafood.
